Educational Programs

Pop Up Museum Display and Curriculum Resources

  • Our Mission - to preserve the heritage and way of life of the Pocomoke Nation, whose villages and resources encompass the Annemessex, Manonoakin, Monie and Pocomoke watersheds and hinterlands, the sounds of Tangier and Pocomoke and their islands, as well as the coastal bays and island of Chincoteague.

One of our Strategies – work with educators to enhance their understanding of the Indigenous tribal history in our region.  We bring key resources, including primary source documents, to the educators and therefore to the students and their families.  We aim to keep the program free to K-12 schools in Wicomico, Somerset and Worcester Counties.

This program is available to libraries, universities, and museums as scheduling and funding allows.
